As Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdul Rasheed Adewale Akanbi makes a surprise visit to Ta’awunu Emirate, Daarul-Hijirah, Iwo, on October 1st 2020, which marked the 60th years of Nigeria Independence, he has appealed to Ta’awunu President, Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan and the entire members of the organization who in one way or the other have been wrongly accused in the past incident to take heart, forgive and embrace those who willing to come back to the organization.
He said this during his historic visit, to see the homeland of Ta’awunu Movement where some developmental projects, like a hospital, an orphanage (home), school of Quranic memorization, and some projects under construction reside.
Oluwo said: “Forgiving them will neither diminish your value nor tear your garment of honour. Every one of those on the path of righteousness will surely be tested, tried and afflicted with pains. That is what you have witnessed. Now, see what Allah has been doing for you.”
While moving around to see some completed projects of Ta’awunu organization and those under construction, Oluwo thanked the President, Ameer, for sustaining the tenets of Islam as propagated by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). He prayed and urged the organization not to relent in its practical approach towards Islamic establishment.
With him were, Professor Lai Olurode, some chiefs and dignitaries within the community.
