In a bid to fulfill the pledge to the UTME participants of Dr. Tunde Alarape Scholarship Scheme, this is a notice that the following have been shortlisted to enjoy full-tuition scholarships throughout their higher institutions.
A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Osun State based in Iwoland, Dr Tunde Alarape Scholarship Scheme (DTASS) has committed itself to the development of the nation by investing positively in youth empowerment and education.
The coordinator of the NGO, Abeeb Muyiwa Abdulamid, said that 90 were shortlisted out of 153 entries received. The selected 90 students were under strict tutelage and mentorship before they wrote the JAMB examination.
Abeeb Muyiwa disclosed that the beneficiaries were selected from Iwo, Ayedire and Ola-oluwa local governments without bias, stressing that education remains the best legacy anyone can give.
Abeeb Muyiwa stated that the DTASS has only one aim which is to ensure that all students can afford education and also added that the best three-preforming JAMB students would be awarded scholarships to study in tertiary institutions.
Against the earlier resolve to choose the best three participants, there’s a special consideration for the physically challenged participant which is a reason to increase the number of the beneficiary to four.
So, the analysis of the process is stated below:
- 153 applications were received.
- The selection of 90 students was made, solely for the free tutorial.
- Free UTME forms for 50 students that distinguish themselves from others.
- And tuition/full academy scholarship has been awarded to the best four-preforming JAMB students.
Hence, the following names with scores and aspects of the study will enjoy the tuition scholarship for their four years of higher learning:
1- Name: Sebiotimo Abdullateef Ayomide
2- Name: Abdullateef Muhammad
3- Name: Omilola Phillip Timilehin
4- Name: Liadi Abdulramon Oladimeji
The coordinator of DTASS, Abeeb Muyiwa Abdulamid, also revealed that efforts will be made to support them in seeking admission.
Our heartfelt congratulations to all applicants and we wish them the utmost academic career success.
