Today, we celebrate an exceptional football talent, a proud daughter of Ile-Ogbo, Osun State, and one of Nigeria’s brightest stars, Rofiat Adenike Imuran.
At just 21 years old, Rofiat has already achieved what many footballers can only dream of. Her journey from grassroots football to representing Nigeria on the biggest stages of world football is a story of determination, discipline, hard work and excellence.

Rofiat has proudly represented Nigeria at both youth and senior levels, featuring at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup before earning her place in the Super Falcons squad for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Her talent earned her a move to French club Stade de Reims, where she made 30 league appearances, scored 8 goals and provided 2 assists from her defensive position.

She later joined London City Lionesses in England, where she played a vital role in helping the club win the FA Women’s Super League 2 Championship and secure promotion.
What makes her achievements even more impressive is the calibre of opponents she has faced throughout her career.
Rofiat has competed against some of the biggest clubs in women’s football, including Lyon, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
Fast, technically gifted, fearless and experienced beyond her age, Rofiat Imuran represents the future of Nigerian women’s football.
